Hello

These bunkers are on an Airfield for jet planes, which Airfield?

D-Bunker, E-Bunker and Führungsbunker could they be special types for jetplanes? Or just standardbunkers?

It could be that there are reference to a map, on which bunkers are described as "bunker A, B, C, D, and E and the legend are referring to the specific type, but I have never seen bunkers described in that way any where else!

Yoy need to go back to your german lessons. The bunker type is not related to jet airfields. It states that these bunkers are not to be build, because the resources must be used to jet airfields. Concrete to runway instead of bunkers.

Hello

Junker, thanks for the correction, I did not pay attention the words "zurückgestellt werden" so of course you are right :-)

But, as Jos also write the C-bunker could be "Cäsar" for Commandbunker/Führungsbunker, so what the others could be, I dont know - if it is not a reference to previous letter with a map?

You dont know on which airfield they schould have been buildt ?

No way it is about the strenght of the bunker. 5 meters concrete? In 1945? Impossible.

Also I don't thinks it's about a map legenda, but rather a function where E could stand for Elektrizität. Don't know where the D is for, but probably some function, fuel or parts from jetplanes or other types of planes. (Could even be V-Waffen related?)

Also weird is the term Führungsbunker. I believe the term Führungs is more used for the direction or control of weapons. For the more common use of fighter-control and other uses the term Gefechtsstand is mostly always used.

We have more Luftwaffe command bunkers without type name or number, a other example
are the large command bunkers like Gyges ( Grove ), Diogenes ( Deelen ) and Sokrates ( Stade ).

Almost afraid to answer because I didn't do any research, but these are build before 1945 and are in function Gefechtsstand.

I would rather go for this explanation, that the Bodenorganisation asked for the building of these bunkers with maps and drawings etc. but this request was denied but the drawings were not send with the answer.
That's why they refer to the D/E bunkers.
We find this way of communication pretty often in archive documents.

After looking at it again it mentiones D and F bunkers. Pretty shure that F stand for Führungsbunker. But it does not give any clue to exact type.
