What is this? (at WN Klamp Vika in Norway)

Post by shadow1998 » 07 Nov 2022 18:58

Hi everyone, maybe you can help me! I was wandering around near Bergen, Norway and decided to check out a mark on google maps called "WN Klamp Vika". It had a bunch of ruins of old fortifications and things like that, I think from WW2. On the way out, I then saw this ominous... what is it, exactly? Does anyone know?

Essentially it is this hole in the side of the cliff face that looks like it once had a massive cave. The padlock had been cut on the door but it seemed to be locked from the inside or too rusted in place to open.

I know very little about history but I'm very curious about what it is and the significance of the site if anyone knows. Thanks!

Hello
Some years ago i was told by some locals that it was a modern tunnel. I cant remember if it was a entrance for a sewage tunell or made during the conctruction of the Askøy bridge. There was some small tunnels on the eastern side of the ridge, now gone.
regards
Stril
