I read somewhere in a US report as they entered the site there were 2 ammo bunkers to their right a personal bunker to the right.
is this correct or was it a single ammo bunker with double entry? I take US intelligent reports with some doubts in general as they were not done by qualified people more so by commanders of fighting units looking to keep up with promotion prospects.

That Gefechtsstand has nothing to to with an 656 wich is way too small , it is really a old design , nothing from the 600 serie , also the innerwall between the two rooms is 80 cm thick ... also it is not a radio bunker , but a Gefechtsstand , with a lot of telephones , 7 telephones are visible , it has also a small observation post at the rear , overlooking the Bttr , it looks a bit like the Tobruks in the channel islands although it is realy not the same

Dirk
thank you for the info .
I can't seem to edit the topic Name as I did find I had a big error in naming it . I am sorry to all but that is Because i was reading a US site and papers. I wished I could speak German or French but I can't. I have had such a love of Bunker since I first visited in 1988, alos hoping to go back to Poland soon to visit family I don't speak Polish either Mum on the other hand could speak 7 languages.
