Re: Brancourt-Stellung (1914-1918)
next one is an double MG-bunker excisting out of two seperate MG-rooms, connected with a 26m long covered trench in concrete. We measured it, the only thing that is not shure is the angle of the covered trench between both rooms. i forgot to measure some triangular verification measurements (not easy with my 8m-measurement-tool.
The left room has an observation-room with three slits for direct observation and one periscope tube above
The coords of this bunker are: 49°30'56.73"N 3°23'59.08"E
This bunker is located in the "Leipzicher-ecke". The colored trenches are:
Pink: Ludzuwer-gang
Light blue: Reichenau-riegel
dark blue: 1.I-stellung
orange: Völker-gang
purple: Otössel-riegel
rightern-most blue: 1.II-stellung

Re: Brancourt-Stellung (1914-1918)
a 'new' bunker we found during our last trip, thisone lies on the 2nd trenchline, we suspect this is some kind of commanding-bunker, more like a "Zugführer-unterstand" or some kind. Its the only one in the 2nd line (we walked the entire line)

Hello,
great research and nice pics and explanations.
It is a little bit like Sicherungsstellung Nord in the south of Denmark.
Regards Oliver

Re: Brancourt-Stellung (1914-1918)
I've updated the location of the brancourt stellung according to LIDAR-aerials. that's why its such a mess with all those different trenchmaps and different lines, the I.Siegfried and II.Siegfried-stellungen where merged in 1918 into one big Siegfried-stellung (red), to the north there is another stellung in green, the Saint-Nicolas-Riegelstellung
