R612 rotating floor

#1

Post by Jeannot du 85 » 05 May 2023, 18:57

Hello,

I am writing to you from France. I am currently trying a R612 3d's reconstruct, built in June 1944 on the Sa sector (Sa 64 AOK 1, Gruppe Mitte). For a 7,65 FK M 5/8 (t).

This work was destroyed and I thought to equip it with the statutory pit of 2 meters by 2 meters 50.

According to the German plans of 612, this pit must accommodate a rotating floor, planted on a pivot.

Has anyone ever seen such a floor or does anyone have any plans?

I specify, I am looking for this specific layout for 612, specific for 7,5 cm fielgun.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Thanks Jos but I have the impression that the turntable on the first picture is too big for the 612 pit. No?

I did some research and unfortunately I did not find any 612 with a pivot in the pit.

Maybe this pit was to accommodate a future turntable with pivot that was to be sealed in concrete. Later this pivot would have allowed to put the turntable.

I also find it strange that on the German detail plans of the rails and the pit of the 612 there is a plan of the gun shoe for the gun boom but no indication on the plate... Maybe the plate was still in development.

Maybe there was simply no accessory in this pit, just the wheels of the gun...
