Unknown Artillery Shell

Post by UBoatResearch » 01 Sep 2023 19:31

Hi everyone,
I recently found this shell during an archaeological dig in Germany. I have no reference for its background and I'm looking for any help identifying it. Thanks for any help!

Width: 50mm (5cm)
Length: 140mm (14cm) long

Are you mad.?
Its strictly forbidden to collect ammunition or parts of ammunition.

FOR A REASON
It seems a 5cm Pzgr this may contain a fuze wich has not worked.
If the fuze fires if you move the shell your life is over.

NEVER EVER move shells especially fired unexploded ordnance.

Just to note
It may be a crime to collect armour piercing ammunition.

YOU have to call police or the Kampfmittelbeseitigungsdienst.
