Hi Erik

I've just found this photo of an emplaced Matilda tank turret in book called Rommel's Army in Africa, by Dal McGuirk.

This is the first time that I have come across anything like this before.

Regards

Bob

One of Rommel's effective improvisations - turrets and guns removed from captured Matilda tanks set in concrete and sited above Halfaya Pass.

Where's Erik, it's been long time since I saw him here for the last time here in the forum. For me actually it's also the first time I see british tank turret emplacements in use by the Germans.

He's busy with other things at the moment but should be back in a few days.

Hallo!

Never seen this combination! I have heard about them, but never seen any photos! Thanks for sharing :)

It seems like most tanks types were reused like this, and even on the same emplacements.
