Interesting. How accurate are the maps?

the maps are based on aerial pictures. If you look at the maps section the preview of the Red October factory, you can see what I mean.
As perfection doesn't exist, let's say that these maps are 90% accurate. In any case, more than in the most wargames on Stalingrad I have seen and that are sold at a very expensive price.

"Yellow painted nose" Bf 109 was a tipical ordnance camouflage of JG 2 "Manfred Von Richtofen" never displaced on Eastern front. Better historical accuracy in avoiding yellow stripes and markings: I suggest you more conventional standard camouflages.

Sorry I disagree, Eastern front 109's did have yellow noses. JG 3's Guenther Luetzow's Bf 109 F2 had a yellow nose as did Detlev Rohwers'. (Luetzow did however fly on the Western Front as well)

As the picture is a Bf 109 E (Emil) I'd like to add that by the time of the battle of Stalingrad the Luftwaffe were generally using the F version (1941) (Friedrich) and later in 1942 the G version (Gustav) although some Emils did still operate in the Jabo role (JagdBomber, fighterbomber)

You are hawk-eyed! The picture is effectively minimal. But that 109 E with yellow nose and yellow squared (..are you sure?) wing-tips was a Jg-2 1940 ordnance. Any way far from Russia by mean of place and time, I agree with you.
