Hungarian field artillery
Hello.
Does anyone have information about WW2 Hungarian field artillery - guns they used, number of each model, etc? Or does anyone know a link to a webpage about this? I am most interested in data about year 1943.
Best Regards,
Mait.

Hungarian field artillery
Hello and thanks for the data about the guns. Could You give some comments about them - who is the manufacturer, the number of each in use or produced, and some comments about their quality, etc.

Some guns were old construction, legacy of the Austro-Hungarian Army, some were Hungarian construction. Hungary bought some Swedish and Italian gun licence too.
BTW the caption on the picture of the 1916 M heavy howitzer is wrong. The heavy howitzer units arived the Don's bank in December, 1942. This photo was taken probably earlier and not near the Don.

Heavy howitzers and infantry mortars
Hello.
And again I have some questions:
Could anyone tell me which infantry mortars were used by Hungarian Army (period I am interested in is 1941-43)? Were captured Soviet models used? Which models were produced in Hungary (period again 1941-43)?
(To Milan Szekelyhidi) You posted a list of Hungarian artillery. There are two 210mm 1940M howitzers, that differ only in minor details. Are these actually the same model (with differences started by different sources of data about the gun)?
I understand that the Škoda built 100mm model 1914 field howitzers. These were good and reliable guns, as many were used by Entente nations after WWI (they gained them as war reparations). In your list You give two 100mm howitzers (1914M and 1914A/M) with quite similar gun qualities but rather big differences in shell data. Could You give some additional comments about it (the same gun with different shells)?
I know that the Škoda upgraded the 1914 model in 1919, and these model 14/19 were sold to Hungary beside many European countries. Could this 1914A/M be this gun?
And the last question: Does anyone have the complete list of artillery ammo types (models) and calibers used by Hungarian army?
Best Regards,
Mait.

Re: Heavy howitzers and infantry mortars
I found more types artillery, but I not found more data.
1942M 76 mm light cannon, Hungarian made.
1943M 15 cm serial fighter, license from Germany, made in Hungary.
1940M 104.9 mm (others 105 mm) use the 40/43M Zrinyi (Zrínyi 105 or Zrínyi II) assault gun.
235 (b) were Belgian light field cannon, real type Belgian 06 TR.
1916 M 305 mm heavy howitzers lost in winter fight 1943, only 2 remain. (Other info the type 11/16M)
1940M 210 mm howitzers, the different were the made. 1940M 210 mm made in Hungary, but the other info type 1940/A M 210 mm was Italian. The 2 type was same, but only some construction was different. The Hungarian 1940M made the last in 1943 from MAVAG Diósgyõr.
I didn’t find why different 1914M and 1914/A M, but I found other type, what Hungary used:

To Milan Szekelyhidi
Thanks.
I thought that 235 (b) must be Belgian - this looks like standard German numeration for captured weapons introduced in German armed forces.
So presumably these guns were given to Hungarians by Germans.
1916M heavy howitzer looks like the most famous austro-hungarian gun from WW1. It was a 305mm mortar used by austro-hungary and germany as well. Truth is that the original model was built since 1911 (so 1911 model). I dont know about the later 1916 model but on the pictures they look very much alike.
1942M 76mm could be captured Soviet Zis-3 model 1942 guns. The picture You sent has lot of resemblece with that gun.
Now I didn´t quite understand that: "1943M 15 cm serial fighter, license from Germany, made in Hungary" - could You please specify?
Best Regards,
Mait.
PS! Do You know anything about Hungarian infantry mortars/granatenwerfers?

Model 1911 305mm howitzer
I will post some pictures of WW1 Austro-Hungarian 305mm howitzers. By the way, these guns were used by Germans in Belgia to attack the forts there...

The link below it's pure Off-Topic because the guns are from WWI, but it's nevertheless interesting:

Big guns...
Were these used by Romanian Army? And did Romanians capture or receive as war-reprisals the 305mm Škoda guns?
