Yes, I think, or they might just be classed as 'Ringstände'!?jopaerya wrote:Hello Malcolm

There's a nice little complex at Stp. Etacquerel which consists of 2 x 5cm (f) positions which are linked by a concrete lined & covered trench to a shelter, and also an M.G./observation position. The mortar pits look like the examples shown below which are found at Stp. biberkopf on Alderney and Grantez on guernsey.
Is this what are you looking for???
Regards,
Malcolm

I do not think so Dirk,
Look at the anchors that are split this typical when it is built on (a) concrete(pillar).

Re: 5cm Festungsgranatwerfer 210(f)
Hi all,
I am wondering about these wooden poles, seen here in a Bauform 206 in the Festung Hoek van Holland, presumably meant for a 5cm Festungsgranatwerfer 210(f). It looks like they were pored into the concrete to be cut short later, in order to screw in the bolts and mount the mortar. Which would mean the mortar was not installed, which seems plausible since the Kompanie was displaced, most likely around the time the bunker was build and the weapon was not bodenständig.
I can't find any other examples that shows the same technique with wood. Any insights?
One of the poles still has a long nail stuck in it and the other ones show signs of a nail at exactly the same spot.
Thanks, Peter
