GERMAN artillery round

Post by fran1942 » 05 Jun 2004 03:56

Hello, I have attached scans of two artillery rounds recovered from Tunisia. I am trying to do a positive ID on them. I am fairly sure that the smaller one is a German round and the larger one is a British 6 pounder.
Both were found in the desert of Tunisia and would have been used by the Allies or Germans before mid 1943.
Any advice on identifiying these would be most welcome.
Thanks guys.

First you need to add info about size of each, it's not easy to answer without it. Round is anti tank (88mm??)
Nice findings :D did you use metal detector?
How did you take them to the plane without antiterrorist squad action?!!!
