PaK Grenades

#1

Post by gavmeister13 » 13 Jun 2004, 20:50

i was looking through German AT Guns by Werner Haupt and found a pic of a 37mm PaK with a large shell stuck on the end of the barrel. Apparently it was called the stick grenade 41 and weighed 8.5kg. I'd never seen or heard about this before. does anyone have any info when it was used, how many were made, pics etc

thanks in advance

It was a good close range use of the 37mm Pak in the eastern front, but it needed to be fire at close distance. But later with Pak-40 on service it was no longer needed.

Hi

Please note that it was also used on the 3,7 cm. FLAK 36/37!

Was there anything such as a 3.7cm FlaK36/37? 8O

I've only read about the 3.7cm PaK35/36, or the 3.7cm FlaK18/36 and 3.7cm FlaK36.

Hi.

Sorry, but there was no Pak 35/36. In the Geräteliste and the Dienstvorschriften was only a 3,7 cm Pak (without any year).

The annex 35/36 is afaik based on a postwar error by allied writers!

Yours

tom!
