Hi Malcolm
As far as I'm aware it has finally been decommissioned, but was in use until the early 90's. Luckily we now have unlimited access to this bunker as the new owner is interested in conserving it as is and has no intentions of using it for anything else. I shall post some pics of MNO/Seeko Kanalinseln shortly.
Regards
Paul

O.K.Here's some pics of MNO Kanal Inseln. Does anyone know the purpose of the steel frame mounted underneath the left hand ventilation pump? Something mounted on top that needed a switch which was fitted to the wooden block on the side.

I agree, the Naval HQ bunker is truely outstandingjopaerya wrote: Good to see that not only Jersey branch can restore bunker very well ,
my compliments for the good job
Loved the video interview of the former Oberleutnant Willi Hagedorn walking around the bunker (before it was restored in the 80's) and describing each rooms functions which then fades to as it looks today and every detail is spot on
Shame he passed away before it was first opened after being restored

Hi Paul,
Can you pass my greetings on to John Wallbridge, we (Martin Hobo and I) visited the V142 last summer when we returned from Alderney.
The bunker is really nice indeed but it was a shame we could not enter the M172.
Keep on doing the good work.
And I hope to visit the CI soon, maybe even next year.....
Jack Koorneef.
