I've got that beat...The big guns of the Yamato were used in desperation at the marauding American carrier planes....All 18.1 inch of em..Or maybe a myth?

nah nothing beat the 128mm for a Flak piece. the Japanese used anything on the ship that could fire, rifles, pistols, etc........

I don't know, I think the Flavierling was pretty danged nasty of a weapon. low flying a/c sure felt the HE rounds. More and more of the Kriegsmarine ships were augmented with these in 44 along with swilling 2cm's.

I have seen a Bofors 40mm AA-gun for sale in Sweden for 20.000kronor or aprox. 2200dollar hehe :P

No it`s unlegal in Sweden with flaks,paks that can fire, it vas just to "look"at hehe :)
