2cm Flak traverse & elevation

#1

Post by Von Schadewald » 06 Dec 2004, 10:06

Was the elevation and traverse on the single and quadruple 2cm flak power assisted?

Or were the two hand wheels unassisted and low geared? What if quick training motions were required?

Is it not a difficult coordination task for one seated man to aim, traverse, elevate as well as press the foot firing pedal against a rapidly moving target?

traverse is 360
elevation goes from minus 10 to 100 degrees

I think the mechanism is geared and is 2 -speed
