Panzerdoor

Post by M.S.Jensen » 29 Jan 2005, 22:46

Hi

I have a question on a german type panzertür in a bunker in Denmark. The bunker is the S 561 for a ship based gunturrent located at Oksby near Esbjerg. I have started building the bunker and the gunturrent i model scale 1/35th. It's a huge job cause every thing has to be made from scratch.
The question I have is about a door which there are four of in this bunker. I would like to know the type of the door, maybe pictures, drawings ore something like that.

Data on the door:

As i recall the doorway is 1.1m x 1.8m. I know that it is just a gasprof thin sheeted door cause the doorframe isn't that "heavy". I have copies of some original blueprints of the bunker and at the four doors it says T13 . I belive that I have heard something about that the Krigs Marine had some of there own standard panserdoors for bunkers but I don't know if this is true.

Can some body help me with this? If so I would be glad.

Below there is a picture of the frame for the door.

Morten

Hi (3.2007)
The door must be the same as for R.638 entrance, 110x170/180cm.
Forgotten the type.
mvh.

Thank you Tommy and AvB

The door on AvB's picture is just as i would think i would be like. I belive that the navy gave the doors a type number but im not sure about it. I have nothing that proves my teori just som hints here and there..

Does anyone know about the german navy giving type numbers to their armoured parts?

110 cm door

Hi Morten
The hinges does not look like standard.
They look like hinges for thin doors like the 19P7 and not for 30 mm doors.
If that is the case, it can only be the 10 mm steel-version.
(Ersatztür?)

Hello Morten

Your theory is right , the Kriegsmarine had here
own Panzerteile , here a drawing of the T 10 .

Drawing = Seefront IJmuiden from Ruud Pols and Leo de Vries

Hello
Im sorry for jumping on the bus without any information to add.
Added a picture "stolen" from ebay a while ago. Noticed the set of double doors, both goes outwards.
Is it just me, or is this a kind of difficult solution. How manage to open the first, then the second ?
Also the door in the drawing by Jos, actualy split in two parts ? If so, is it a T10 used at the outside in the picture ?
