If you want a good video on Atomic bombs get the DVD called Trinity and Beyond, its awesome and has footage of the atomic cannon in use.

My grandad was saying they couldent bomb it as they pulled it into an underground bunker/tunnel is this true?

Anzio Annie was kept in a railway tunnel I believe, so it couldn't be bombed and was a problem to locate.

another view (also You can see the sea at the background)
Some of k5 were located in France as mobile artillery in Atlantikwall defense system.There are known severeal emplacements(kind of rotating basement for K5's chasis)

Anzio Annie captured by American forces.
It has an interesting example of a frame construction used probably for masking net.
