There is a mystery for me about this photo.
It was given to me severeal years ago in Rugenwalde(Darlowo in Poland) with comment that it was taken there.
As far as I know there was only Dora gun tested+several small projects of Krupp-but I don't know anything about K5 being tested there....I'm confused. Moreover You can find in Darlowo 'projectile catchers'(soory for my english) placed directly on firing direction.Map was added by me earlier on this forum.
The background of this photo is similar as in Darlowo(sand, small dunes, threes:pines etc).
Anyone recognize ?

all the K5's could be mounted in a special elevated track, that then rode in a one-rail turntable (made of prefab steel sections) for 360 degree fire, not a concrete one
2 survive, one in the Aberdeen proving grounds museum in the usa and the other outside the batterie Todt museum in normandy
in may 1943 the total order for the k5(e) was limited to30 complete guns, 3 complete barrels and 30 barrel liners, but only 25 guns were constructed
I suggest you get Squadron signal's german artilery guns in action
regards
Xavier

Please note that Rugenwalde was not firing emplacement but testing side-so my conclusion is that it could be one of solutions for railguns.I know this steel construction for K5.all the K5's could be mounted in a special elevated track, that then rode in a one-rail turntable (made of prefab steel sections) for 360 degree fire, not a concrete one
