According to the Ebay photocaption this should be Metz 1944 , any idea on the place of the railway tunnels ??

Isn't it Aberdeen K5?
Please look at the gun's camouflage

All I can say is that the Aberdeen K5 as almost certainly repainted at least once, so the camo scheme may not be the best tracing source.

It would be difficult to trace precisely the camouflage if it was another gun. So i would say that there are at least good odds that it is indeed the same gun.

I see pretty good collage :D
Common features:
-almost the same camouflage (99%)
-the same elevation of the gun
Why there is a single gun without ammo wagons and no loko behind!

May I guess: photo is saled as repro?

PHotos grouping to Wlate Siebel who served in Eisenbahn-Artillerie-Batterie 686. There are some nice photo of K5 in action around Leningrad:

It is very possible a Photoshop job using this image from this webpage - http://www.andystransambikeride.org/day010510.htm
The similarities are striking.

Looks like the right picture.
If you look under the right buffer /stop you see what I think is a brake hose pointing a little forward. The bw ebay picture shows the same itme, same angle.

Also the clothing of the people right seems to be "static", statue like.
Thanks,

Wim

The black and white illustration with the tunnels behind is water-color artwork by Steve Noon from the Osprey Campaign book "Metz 1944" and shows the Ebersviller rail tunnels on the Metz-Bouzonville rail line where the guns were active in early October 1944.
