Hello all

Anybody have info / pictures like the one attached.

I am interested in weapons mount on or in or outside bunkers.

Starting with MG mount on a Tobruk ( many other types of MG´s available ).

Quite interesting photo Kurt!
Did you know that the mounting used for the MG on your photo came from a French Breguet 19 aircraft??

Here`s another one from "Tobrouks typologie" By Alain Chazette - ISBN 2-9516102-6-2
(Nice booklet with lots of interesting photos  )

Hello Erik.

No, did not know that !

There must have been thousands of "localy modyfications" for mounting all these different types of weapons ?

Hope to see more of things like this here - 8O

Hello Chrischa

Not IN Tobruk - but mounted ON a Tobruk !!

Tobruk is the name of the bunkertype :)
CHRISCHA wrote:Erik, are you sure that photo was taken in Tobruk?
"Tobruk" - is a nickname - i think because it was first buildt / in use in Tobruk ( The Town ).

The type is Regelbau = R 58C !

Hope thats the right answer to your question.

Hello Kurt!
Nice photos! From DAWA Sonderband??
Remember to credit your sources if the photos are not your own.....
Also try to limit the amount of photos taken from the same book to maximum 2-3.

That last one looks veeery familiar
