Greetings from Arctic Sweden,

I´m curious about a mortar used by the "Nord" division in Northern Karelia/Salla area.

You´ll see it midway in the slideshow of Trails of War - Along the Barents Road at http://www.barentsroad.org

Could someone here identify the mortar?

And is the mortar-rucksack/carrier not quite unusual?

BTW the photo in question comes from a period (1941/1942) publication about the fighting on the northernmost stretch of the Eastern Front.
