The caption in the Bundesarchiv's website reads:
"Frankreich.- Soldaten der Luftwaffe in Stellung mit Flak aus zwei MG 34, Soldat mit Finger in den Himmel zeigend; Lw Kdo West"

When they are running low on rounds they can shoot stones from the wooden pole :D :D :D :D

This is definitely a gun of the MG 151 family which was manufactured both 15 mm as well as 20 mm. From the size of the feed mechanism I would give this a 90 % chance of being the 15 MM version.
