Hi guys,
we have found another one on Italian New Vallo Alpino near Ponte Della Delizia (sector Dignano), which is integrated with a post-war observation post.
See http://fortifikace.bloguje.cz/859120-no ... amento.php (sorry, text in Czech, but there are two photos and also GPS location ;)

Regards,
Radek Hrabcak

Hello Radek,
great news! Congratulations! Nice photo of inner side of doors with door-handle.
Czech text isn't so hard to understand :)

I have impression, that the door is a post war. If the door is a german one - it would be the first time when I see a door attached to the Stahlunterstand.

It looks, that Panzernests were also re-worked by Italians - different lafette, different shelves inside, different cover of the loophole, possibly different shape of the entrance.

I've made a simple sketch of the post-war Italian command post with the integrated Stahlunterstand Z. Stahlunterstand is probably covered with concrete, but there is no way how to check it. It's been buried deep underground.

The article mentioned by Radek was transferred to the new site. Location of the object is at the map "Dignano", No. 2 (GPS N 46 05 16.8, E 12 55 05.4).

You can see more photos here.

Italians used the Stahlunterstand for the unclear reason. The command post is a large two storey building and Stahlunsterstand increased internal space only slightly. Maybe they have used the Stahlunterstand only as a corridor to the emergency exit shaft.

I don't know the source, but I've seen this type of drawings a few times. They seem to describe defences in Senger Line or nearby, looks indeed like a post war Italian documentation. They also seem to be used as background in some Italian articles about german defences. This sketch included a Tobruk stand added?

I'm looking for sketches of OT and this one seems the most accurate so far. I don't know what was beside OT- with/without Tobruk-just know this part of sketch...

Would be nice to know if this is a Italian drawing of a German bunker or a cold-war Italian one ??
Personel I would go for the German bunker , because of the tobruk .

Your Polish colleagues have found a few pieces of Stahlunterstand Z at "OKH Stellung b-1". They are partially buried, inner walls are damaged. They will remain buried because of danger of theft.

There were Panzernests and Pantherturms at this line, some of them were saved, but I think most of them are at private collections. There are also a lot of R668 and R701 and "tobruks".
