ID of artillery foundations

#1

Post by Erik E » 28 Sep 2005, 21:02

Hello!

Would it be an idea to make a "sticky" thread to collect different types of artillery foundations?
These questions shows up from time to time, so by collecting what we got, this could be a very good reference!
By artillery foundations, I`m thinking of the bolt arrangements, turntables, pivot mounts and stuff like that!

OK, here we go then!

Just some simple rules:

1. Please only use your own photos, or make sure you have permission to post borrowed photos here!

2. Please do not add photos if you are not 100% sure which guntype used on your mounting. Questions should be dealt with in separate threads!

I will also make a list here of which guns we got

Two different emplacements for 15cm Uto C/16 L/45 naval guns.

The emplacement on the first photo was built in 1940, the second 1942

Hello comrades

I have some photos of artillery implacements that I would like to share with all of you yet I am quite unsure of which guns used to be positioned there. I am not a pro in fortificatons and artillery technology. So would it be Ok if I posted the pics and then someone could help to identify them????

Gregory :)

P.S: great Idea for this Sticky Erik

Hello!
Would be very interesting to see you photos, but I would recommend to make a new thread outside this....
Otherwise it could soon turn ito a big mess with lots of questions and discussions instead of a reference thread!
