M.K.B. Seebahnhof (Cherbourg)
hi jos,
I look at all my pictures of meadows, but I can not find this location.
Will not:
Tonneville (hamlet langlois) wn 274
Flottemanville wn? ? ? Not code
Gabriel moor wn 243 st
Sideville (Mountains) wn? ? ? ? Not code
Throughout his positions on almost the same bunker to put some flak difference can not be confused.
I think the position now disappeared

Re: M.K.B. Seebahnhof (Cherbourg)
The French Navy used 75 mm Mle 1922, 1924 and 1927 with a bore length of 3.75 m for AA purposes (e.g. on aircraft carrier Bearn, battleship Bretagne, ...).
If we use the definition L = bore length (in mm)/caliber (in mm), we'll find ... 50 !
And if we consider the Mle 1922, that would make sense of the SK L/50 C22 (f) designation.
But I haven't been able yet to find any close picture of these French Navy 75 mm AA guns to compare.

Re: M.K.B. Seebahnhof (Cherbourg)
Thanks Jos. Do you think it's the same gun as at MKB Seebahnhof ?
The recoil tube on top looks the same but it's not obvious for the rear.

Re: M.K.B. Seebahnhof (Cherbourg)
Flottemanville is located west of Cherbourg. The complete name is actually “Flottemanville-Hague”.
The last 2 pictures seem to show a gun after its capture by the Germans in late June 1940. A gun in use by the Germans would have a more complete crew besides the three guys here (including the one that takes the picture) and with a less “touristic” look.
The French designation was “Canon de 75 mm CA (= Contre-Avions i.e. Anti-Aircraft) Modèle (in short “Mle”) 1922” (ou 1924 ou 1927, not sure which one here).
