see here:

It has been installed on a bronze cradle. For coastal defense purposes?

Kind regards,

Hello Nuyt

The gun is a 7,5 cm Model 1931 Vickers , German name 7,5 cm Flak M 35 (h) .
The gun is a typical flakgun , the fixing point is very low to get a better
elevation . The mount is unknow to me .

Regards Jos

Now I got it, thanks!
So, the submarine story is not correct, well, maybe the Germans used it as such after 1940...

Hello Nuyt

The German Kriegsmarine used the 7,5 cm Flak M 35 (h) in there
Marine Flak Abteilungen , also used in Holland as Flak before the were
rearmed with 10,5 cm S.K. C/32 .

Vickers-Werkspoor

That means this type of gun in retrospect had nothing to do with the Dutch Navy as Mehl suggests. He probably figred that since it was Kriegsmarine, it had been captured from the Dutch Navy, but not so.
Shouldn't we call this gun the Vickers-Werkspoor?

Hello All

Here a photo from a 7.5 cm Flak M 35 (h) in IJmuiden , in the early days 1940
or 1941 before the M.Fl.A. 808 was reequipped with 10.5 cm S.K.C/32 .
Nice to see that the 7.5 cm Flak M 35 (h) were used over and over again
during the war in newly formed M.Fl.A.

There is a picture from Ceges Soma of the same gun on its wheels being placed in firing position. (Photo n° 83666) in “Mur de l'Atlantique : DCA (Flak) : 1940-1944” , on page 4/5 at
http://www.cegesoma.be/pls/opac/plsp.ge ... ac_dsc.htm

And another one from ebay.de:

I have seen this picture too , it's looks to me no German troops .
The headwear and beltsbuckle are different , maybe somebody

Jos,

The uniforms on the above picture could be Romanian. And the Romanians had bought some Vickers guns.

You may want to look at the picture here.

Jos,

You may enjoy this website if you don't know it yet. It's a Vickers photo archives museum. Tons of pictures of Vickers guns.

http://www.dockmuseum.org.uk/archive/ca ... =Armaments

For the 75 mm, there are pictures indicating the following customers: Turkey, Dutch government, Denmark and Romanian government.

Here are 3 photos of guns sold to Romania (taken probably on Vickers firing test range) probably as part of the license agreement.
