hello

what gun is this?

Image

mostly used in web or books for it the note of "Senger-Etterlin - Deutsche Geschütze"

we know, all those units equipted with 15cm K. in different version, but not 15cm SKC/28 and the photo shows no 15cm K. i.Mrs.Lafette

so..... i dont know....

thanks Uwe

In a norwegian after the war document (Inspector General of Coast Artillery archive) there was a discussion on the future use of 15 cm SKC/28 guns in the postwar norwegian coast artillery, brought to life by an offer from the Skoda company for 5 complete guns in Kst.MPLC/36 plus a possibility to take over some of the 15 cm guns on the Tirpitz wreck. Both offers were declined but as one were looking for modern mobile batteries the matter was further investigated. The matter was laid to rest when the Materiel Staff reported that no complete gun of the mobile 15 cm SKC/28 were found in Germany but that the british had rounded up what was found of produced parts, and brought it to UK together with German experts and completed the gun there. No numbers or any other specifics were mentioned in the document.
This fits in with the low priority for this project ("Füllarbeit"), i.e. to be completed when time and resources permits.
The batteries were to have its designated fire control system, most probably manufactured by Skoda. An offer for this systen were also received after the war.

Hello Basto,

years ago there was a 15 cm S.K.C/28 M in 15 cm mot.L.C/38 in Koblenz.

I don't know, if it is there today.
