its "BP 28 / Stp IX Bat.Gef.Std." near the 118

think not a typical german name... more like scandinavian area?
Mette is also:
Mette is a nightly or early morning service in the Christian liturgy. The term derives from the Matutin, the nocturnal part of the ecclesiastical liturgy, also called Vigil (Latin vigilare "wake") or Nachtoffizium.

maybe something like "Wache"?
or is it dutch for the area?

Wim this is ( Stp. IX HM ).
It´s like Alex said its near the 118, see the red X in the picture below.
I can´t explain Mettekopf, it not Dutch.
If it means wache, this road go's to battery Rozenburg, if you enter it, you have to pas a road barrier with a bunker and mg nest, it near the same spot as Mettekopf. It could be a guard post.

Regards

Sander

I go with Jack's Meldekopf.
Remember that this map was probably made by the resistance after a German example, hence the errors.
EH140 is a (Küver) 450b (BRV F1).

I still can't really place the situation: is this Rozenburg section F(4) 33 near section D 158, BRV drawing : 286 ?
Rozenburg_F4_locatie_02.jpg
Also there was a keeper house near the ferry dock.
The whole area also had local names wich translated in german or english can give strange names.

MetteKopf or MetteKopl doesn't look like german at all. The capital K in the middel isn't logical.
Or it should be Messe Kopf.
The two letters are identical so meldekopf doesn't match.

The picture is a 3D model I started when I wanted to draw the gunbunker and found the BRV drawing. There are other drawings with parts of this area.
Also complete site drawings. An areal picture is missing in the flightpath we are looking for.
Thanks,

Wim

It’s in the upper left corner of your map.

You don’t know from which map it was copied. So the copier could’ve wrongly interpreted Meldekopf as MetteKopf.

Unfortunately most of the Vf bunkers were already under sand when the BRV measured them. They recorded every St bunker number here but not the EH numbers.

think the numbers are the Troops... so at EH140 are 53 Mann?
to much for only a Küver!?
