Amazing. This looks like the WW I fortresses built by the Germans in 1916 in Denmark. At that time this part of the country has been occupied since 1864, and the Germans built a fortified defensive line across the peninsula in order to counter a possible invasion in the Esbjerg area.

Hi

Tomorrow, on Friday, will be a meeting and issues related to the battery will be discussed. According to city council, fortifications are without any historical value.

That place was selected to build houses and swimming pool.

If you can, please e-mail and write that it IS a historical and unique battery and a potential tourist attraction.

Hello All

I recieved a map from the Cotentin from end 1942 with the 320 I.D. on this map the E.A.A. 685 2 x 20.3 cm (E) M is located at Carteret and not at Audervillle-Laye .
Does anyone know if this is correct or was it just a plan ,any information is welcome , thanks in advance ,

Hello All

Found this document about two turrets with 20.3 cm S.K.C/34 planned near IJmuiden ,
we know the turrets from M.K.B. Ars and Grognon came from the Seydlitz , who has
any idea were these turrets came from or from what ship ???

Regards Jos
