Hello ,
Interesting the Belgian , le Canon de 155 L ( Mod. 1924 ) ( Krupp - F.R.C.)
alias 15,5 cm K. 432 ( b ) is a reworked former 13 cm kanone M 09 to take
the same shells as C 155 L . Mod 1917 .

Here is one belgian in Norway as it was in 1945.

JEF
A Kriesgliederung from 1943 indicates two batteries created in January in Norway and armed with 4 x 15,5 cm K 432(f) each:
14./751 and 15./751 (= HKB Forsö if I'm not mistaken).

Did any of these guns survive in Norway or in Belgium? According to Col. Lothaire's excellent book, which I just got a copy of, only 17 of these guns were built at FRC, of which only 12 were still in active service in May 1940, with one gun held in reserve. What happened to the other four apparently missing guns?

Hi Stril,

Your gun looks like the 13cm Kanone L/35 09 of which 2 survive (of originally 4) in the gardens of Victoria tower in Guernsey. The 4 guns were given to Guernsey as war trophies at the end of WW1 and 2 were later scraped due to neglect before WW2 while the other 2 were buried with the threat of invasion in 1940. They were exhumed again in the 1970s and are now on display.

In a description of this gun is it ok to say that the 13 cm 09 was a german gun, taken by the Belgians after the war, reworked to 15,5 cm by th e belgians, then taken by the german again in 1940 and used as a 15,5 cm K. 432 ( b ) ?
