I find it interesting that the Germans used French Flak guns to protect installations on German soil instead of German Flak guns.

Probably because the German North Sea coast had the lowest priority regarding coastal defences. However the blue Rolf lists Norderney with 20x 10.5 cm Flaks. Maybe they were exchanged later?Manuferey wrote:I find it interesting that the Germans used French Flak guns to protect installations on German soil instead of German Flak guns.

Re: 75-mm Puteaux M/97-14 AA-gun
Here is one picture of the remains of a Platform lafette for 75 mm at Kristiansand. Around 1915 two such Guns were installed at the Navy Base at Marvika for protection against Zeppeliners. They were most probably dismantled before the war, at least there are no KM 7,5 cm Flak in Kristiansand by 1940. But did the Germans utilize Guns in this type of gun mount?

Hello Tormod
I know at La Verdon ( Gironde ) use the same gun in a special mounting .
From what I found so fat there are 3 kind of mountings , the one you have found
for the 7.5 cm 97 and larger mounting to use the 10.5 cm Schneider gun and
triangel mount for the 7.5 cm .
