Re: 10 cm le H T ???
To date I have the following data for the five leHT platoons:
1011 (La Rochelle) — Used to form Stbs.Bttr.HKAR 1280 on 11.03.45. (La Rochelle falls 10.05.45)
1012 (Brest) — Brest falls on 19.09.44 — Dissolved on 14.01.45.
1013 (Lorient — Dissolved on 14.01.45. (Although Lorient doesn't fall until 07.05.45)
1014 (Mont Lambert, Boulogne) — Boulogne falls on 22.09.44 — Dissolved on 14.01.45.
1015 (Le Havre) — Le Havre falls on 12.09.44 — Dissolved on 14.01.45.
Not crucial, but it woul dbe nice to know the date(s) the five platoons were raised.
Cheers
Leo

Does anyone know if there's a 613 artillery observer at Marineschule in Brest? It should be the observer for both le.HT.

Hello Arthur
I have seen picture's taken in the underground corridors at the Marineschule Brest of a St bunker
on four floors high where the wooden stairs are rotted away and you can see only steel beams.
So it is impossible to visit that bunker without a lot of material , but this bunker could be the 613 .

There are 5 colours and the ammunition could be provided with 5 levels of charge strength so it probably indicates which shells had which charge strengths within the rack as the ammunition type was indicated on the base of the cartridge.

Malcolm

The two R 664 at Marineschule Brest have been in use for sure. Please note the used slipway for the cartridges into the sublevel below the basement of the R 664. The images was taken in 2000.
