Hello All

This bunker was build at Auderville la Roche and also at Cap Levy both near Cherbourg could this bunker be a "Machinenbunker" for the Fu.MO 2 "Calais" naval radar and maybe a new Regelbau V.???

Hi Jos,
The double doors reminds me of those we see on a L 411A. What makes you think it's a Machinenbunker?bregds

Hello Ses

The reason why I think that is was a Maschinenbunker is that both bunkers are build behind the Fu.MO 2 but I am not sure about this, it could also be a "Unterstellraum". I have seen the drawing of the bunker in the S.H.M. in Paris but I have lost it , but it know that it was not a L 411a.

Hi Jos,
I did not mean to say that it could be a L 411A, just that the doors looked the same. A FuMO 2 on a SdAH 204, with the antenna lowered was about 4 m tall so that excludes it's use as Unterstell-raum for the radar. But the width of the entrance bothers me. It too wide for just a stby-generator. That's why I was thinking in search-light terms.

Hi Ses

The Fu.MO 2 at Auderville la Roche had a concrete wall protection, I have no info on the Fu.MO 2 at Cap Levy. You are right about that it is not a "Unterstellraum" for the Calais radar .

As usual these plans have errors
The two have the general layout of the Cap Levy plan (the auderville plan is false with the large room at the right , there are the same two rooms at the Cap Levy plan
a periscope is also installed in the crew room
there are soccles but strangely only one ofen is found in the crew room (six beds) not one exhaust is found so a fix generator looks not probable , it must be more a garage for something
