Walther PPK 7.65 mm Dural/Steel

Hello all,
I'm new here and I was hoping to get more info on the PPK I recently purchased. It's a strange bird - manufactured in 1942 according to the serial. It has a good amount of wear, some surface rust, mediocre barrel wear, heavy grips wear. Functions 100% though. It has no RZM marks, serials match in frame and slide. There is a "93" mark on the frame under the grips (on the frame edge in the lower part of the left grip side). As far as I know the mass production of dural framed PPKs was started later in years. So what's the story behind this one?

The first changes are to be seen - new grips and magazine base plates. It starts to look like I'd like it . What follows is refinishing and new springs.
