No,i mean the pice that was used to hold the the ammo magazine on the MG34,they used a FEED COVER for the ammo belt,or the type of ammo drum in your images,or they used a double ammo magazine by chaging the FEED COVER for a MAGAZINE HOLDER.

Here is a picture of the MG34 Drum Holder. There are two flaps (doors) where the drum mounts which hinge open (inward/downward) when the drum is installed. Below that is the Carrier for the DoppelTrommel

Lafette is German for Gun Carriage or Mount, The Dreibein (tripod) is the lighter and taller mount used for aircraft defense. The Lafette is identical for the MG 34 and MG 42 except for the attachment method for the gun itself.. Both are called by the same name.

The MG 42 used belts only.... no provisions for drum feed were made. There was a small drum that clipped onto the side of the feed tray, but it had a belt inside. It was not a spring-loaded drum as on the MG 15 and MG 34.

That is not correct.
There are wartime pics of the MG 42 in use with the Doppeltrommels attached...
