Towards the end of the war, after the introduction of the Sturmgehwer 44 and G/K43, does anybody know what the composition of a German infantry company was? like, how many K98's, Mp40's, MG34's or 42's etc etc etc a full strength unit was supposed to have. Also, does anybody have any information on the units that recieved the FG 42? Thanks in advance.

I have no idea about the first part of your question. But the FG 42 which was only rarely encountered before 1945, was by US troops found in great numbers with some Volkssturm units in the west in 1945 which led to the belief that the Germans had huge numbers of them.Which of course was not the case. Despite disparaging tales of the Volkssturm they often received very modern weaponry - to boost morale or because that's all that was readily available - I will leave unsaid.
