Hi all,

Can somebody identify the exact model of this Bulgarian Maxim machinegun ? MG08 or an earlier model ?? :? MG01 perhaps ??

No, this is not MG01, this is MG08 on a MG01 mount.
MG01 looks different from the outside.

Image Real star is rare machine gun mount . is for mountain units . Germans replaced this mount in 1916

A pity that these differences can not de seen in most of the wartime images.....

A last question about these Maxim German machineguns. Any idea about these machineguns ?
The tripod is very rare... :?

I'm 100% not sure, but I think that this is a modernized tripod from the French machine gun Puteaux APX M1905.
It was also used for the French machine gun St. Étienne Mle 1907.

elevation system was changed with the german mdel.
