To make the MPMG cheaper, the MG42 had a competitor.

The MG34/41.

This gun was modified to be a cheaper replacement of the expensive MG34

Comparism:

MG 34 / MG 42
Maerial: 49 kg / 32,6
Manhours: 150 / 75
Price (RM): 312 / 250

Does anybody have any information about how much the MG34/41 was more economic? Manhours, Price, Raw Material?
