Wehrmacht and SS officer like Leutnant ever used in WW2 K98 or G43 (instead of Pistole or Mp40)?

An officer would not normally carry a "long gun" (M98K, G-43, etc.). A pistol was standard and obviously some would carry an MP-40 (or) in close combat situations... but not on a regular basis IMO.
