Good morning Billy 02,

Welcome to AHF.

I missed your first 2 posts; regardless.....Welcome !

An interesting article; well-worth reading.

Had to look up "MISERICORDE: (definition 4) a slender dagger used in the Middle Ages for giving the death stroke (coup de grace) to a mortally wounded knight.

Appreciated reading the trench knife's origin involved the stiletto.

I have here a Beretta "daily planner" booklet that I got at a conference sponsored by Beretta USA (Maryland). It's for a year and every page is followed by a color photograph of their products from olden times. The artwork on their historic cutting, thrusting, slashing, stabbing instruments equals any other artwork in the other categories !

......

Misc; Any bona fide football teams out in your neck o' the woods ?
