FG-42 in Finnish Use

#1

Post by FiveStars » 02 May 2020, 12:04

Greetings gentlemen,

I am new to this forum, so hello to you all! My question is, as the title implies, does anyone happen to have any reliable information regarding the use of the FG-42 in the battle of Tali-Ihantala? The only mention of this is a dubious footnote on Wikipedia without any sources cited, which begs the question: were they used at all or is this made up?

-Kind regards

Hi. I found the Wikiwand-page and it claims that FG-42 was used by the Finns, which is totally bogus.

There were no FG-42 in Finnish use. There is nothing to suggest that even a single FG-42 would have ever been acquired, much less several.
