"Erma EMP 44"

How do you guys feel about this quickly welded together German MP, was it an innovative design due to the emergency of the time, or more like a shot in the proverbial "oven"..?
There are also videos online, in which replicas of this "Volkssturm" weapon are fired...
Was there a copy (Original..?) in the WTS in Koblenz in the 1980s, or is my personal memory deceiving me..?

Re: The Erma EMP 44
The "style/design" of the time is reminiscent of the weapons used by poachers; any halfway talented locksmith or village blacksmith could have made such an MP with the appropriate barrels in 9mm Parabellum caliber.
By no means a ridiculous topic, many young and old civilians and soldiers have been sent into recent battles with similar weapons before 1945...

Posted without comment, but not the shooting attempts with this MP
It's frightening that more is known about the weapon on a Russian website than on all German websites, what could be the reason for this...?
You're welcome to ask yourself that, I'll leave the answers to you...
