A mid war CZ27.
Re: LETS SEE THOSE FIREARMS!
Be VERY Carefull shooting that ammo!!! It is NOT loaded reliably! I blew up a Thompson barrel shooting that. 1 bullet didn't come out of the bbl and I put 4 more right behind it. Had to buy a new bbl. I have about 900 rds of that ammo and I will not shoot it! It may be OK in a 45 pistol with the shorter bbl, but I'll never shoot anymore in my M1A1 Thompson.Douglas Jr. wrote:Another classic: SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1917.
This one is an example of the 1937 Brazilian Contract. Some of these S&W fought in Italy Campaign with the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (Força Expedicionária BRasileira - F.E.B.) and remained in service until the 1970s.
Here is my 1917 DWM Artillery and accessories.

Not a combatant rifle, but a WW2 era rifle:
Swede M41 built in 1942 off of a 1915 Carl Gustaf

Re: LETS SEE THOSE FIREARMS!
Good looking rifle! All my Swedes have been tack drivers. Appears you have ideal country for long shots. Here on the South side of Lake Michigan,a 225 yard crack at a woodchuck is about as long of a shot as one gets.Know this is overkill, but this is what my son uses for reaching out and touching some of those chucks and coyotes.
Re: LETS SEE THOSE FIREARMS!
Thanks! I have four swedes now, the M41, two 1900 Oberndorf made M/96s (one a carbine conversion) and a Ljungman. I love the craftsmanship involved in the rifles in those days, and 6.5x55SE is my favourite round to shoot.
Nice looking 1903 sniper your son has, they're also great rifles. I have shot my friend's in Oregon, his had the peep sight, and I liked it a lot.

Thats quite nice! I always wanted an 08. Maybe some day.Douglas Jr. wrote:Another Luger (I like them very much!)
It's a LP-08 (a.k.a. Artillery Model), made by DWM in 1917 and issued to the German Imperial Army.
Still looking for a holster and stock...

Re: Lets see those firearms !
Firstly, thank you to Waleed for his time and trouble in re-sizing my original photo so it could be seen on the forum.
I thought some of the forum members might like to see a picture of some of my MG's. It was taken in 2005 and so the collection has grown a bit since then. I do still love this photo, and I hope those who have not seen it before like it as well.
Damien.

Damien,
How well have you managed on the number matching and do you have any early versions(deacts) where you can take the barrel out i.e. the MG34's?
Does anyone have any links to info on the types of stocks used on MG34's and at what period i.e. wood, plastic and plastic with metal tips, MG42's as well.
Is it also true that some MG42's had a stamped metal stocks?
Cheers,
Tom.
