I´ve never heard of something like "Scheibenhandgranaten".

The only handgrenades in this shape I know are the german "Diskushandgranaten 15" from WW1

Actually I have heard about the schibenhandgranaten, wasent that the thing that the germans could put in the sight slits on enemy tanks?

And lasse from the same country as me, is right.. The Detonierende Pulverscheibe and the Schibenhandgranaten was to be inserted into the sight slits on tanks. Here are some information:

"An invention that was not really a normal handgrenade but shall be mentioned here as a rather interesting idea were the so-called Detonierende Pulverscheibe ("detonating powder disc"), often abbreviated as DPS and later designated by the army as Scheibenhandgranaten ("disc hand grenades") were discs maufactured from Nipolite. Nipolite was a newly invented explosive that didn't require a casing and was easy to manufacture. They were intended as AT devices: the discs had a diameter of 8cm and were only 1.6cm thick. they were to be inserted into the observation slits of tanks. The discs weighed 125g of which 87g were explosive. Several discs could be combined to increase effect. The company WASAG also developed a version of their invention to be used against bunkers and fortified positions which weighed 1kg of which 450g were a combination a Nipolite and phosphor."

Translated this means: "Light metal version (made of aluminum or so) for paratroopers"
Actually this could be anything and nothing. Or is this line correlated to i.e. Gerät 231?

That is correct, a small mistake from my side. Do you have any information about the Gerät 231? I know that it was some kind of AT rifle tested.

Hi.

"Gerät 231" was the development name of the "schwere Panzerbüchse 41" used during development at Mauser. The standart "Panzerbüchse 41" had a total weight of 224 kg.

The lighter version for paratroops had no armoured shield and smaler wheels. Additionally it was made of lighter materials whereever possible. It had a total weight of 147 kg.
