I have never seen original pics of Germans with the Madsen but I have seen a ground find Madsen magazine. Not in to best shape but clearly a Madsen magazine. I will look around for some pictures from a Madsen in action but they are sure difficult to find.

I can also only tell about several dug out magazines ( with ammo in them ) and more of the 8mm Danish ammo closeby in the typical brass "envelopes". But I think that they have been used by Volkssturm rather than regular Army units.

Hallo pzrwest,

the first article from you showed the 8mm Madsen Machine Gun - German designation 8mm MG 158 (d) and 159 (d)
So this version of the Madsen fired the 8x56R Krag cartridge - a rimmed round - also note the more curved magazine than on the other picture from Norway

on your last article the soldier fires a 6,5mm Madsen Machine Gun - German designation 6,5mm MG 102 (n) and 103 (n)
they have been made in Danmark for Norway in the 20s and they fired the 6,5x55 Mauser cartridge

The soldier on the left seems to be carrying what looks like an M3A1 Grease Gun. 3rd from right does look like a Mosin, but there are so many versions in so many countries it's impossible to actually tell what it is.
