Hi

I am searching possible date of birth of birth for Hptm Gotthard Dubbe from GR 4. He was born in Groß Hammer, Trebnitz but when ?

During late 1930s he was living in Breslau as Major in Schupo.

Gunnar and Andy, this is what I have on Dubbe. Can you add anything?

*22.10.1887 in Groß Hammer, Trebnitz

06.01.1907 in das Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 4 eingetreten
18.08.1908 Leutnant
xx.xx.1914 bei der Fliegertruppe (FA 36, u.a.)
25.02.1915 Oberleutnant
xx.xx.1915 in Gefangenschaft geraten (Verlustliste v. 3.8.15)
Hauptmann a.D.

He is in the 1925 GR 4 Mitgliederverzeichnis as a Polizeihauptmann in Brandenburg a.d.H. (Dienstalter 18.5.09). In the 1931 GR 4 Mitgliederverzeichnis, he is now a Polizeimajor (Dienstalter 11.8.31) in Düsseldorf. His Dienstort in the 1933 Polizei DAL was Recklinghausen. Later in the 1930s, he was transferred to Breslau. He is still listed as a Major der Schupo in the 1943 Breslau adress book.

Known decorations:

Thanks both !

I dont have much to add due too your info :) . His flying unit was rather certain FFA 36(later renamed to FA 36) when captured. I dont have exact date but probably in July 1915 together with the pilot Vfw Wilhelm Stegemann from Bremen who later was killed while serving within an Freikorps aviation unit.

I do think that FFA 36 moved to Süd Armee (Galizia) in June 1915 which means that more info about the incident probably could be found in the Wien archive.

When returned from captivity he was promoted Hptm on 11.01.1921 mit Patent 06.11.1917. Most War prisoners returned home already in the Spring of 1918.

I dont have date and place of death yet.

Gunnar
