Kirschstein(1896-1918) was the son of the Regierungspräsident of Posen.He joined the 3. Pionier-Bataillon as a Kriegsfreiwilliger in 1914.His quick number of victories between March-June 1918 were a record if I'm correct.

Please help me with the answer to the question when Hans Kirschstein was promoted to Leutnant Der Reserve? Was he in the rank of Gefreiter, Unteroffizier, Vizefeldwebel and Offizierstellvertreter?

Vizefeldwebel Kirschstein was promted to Leutn. d.R. on 18.10.1897, Oberlt. d.R. 21.07.1908 and Hptm. d.R. 20.11.1913

Thank you very much for you informations, but I think that was other Kirschstein. Hans Kirschstein who was 27-victories ace of First World War was born on 1896. He was promoted to Leutnant der Reserve on 1915 (I don't know full date).
