Yesterday I discovered that my paternal Great Uncle, Johann Kühn, served with the "Grenadier-Regiment 9" during the First World War. He was from a small village just east of Warsaw and was a "Vistula German." His brother, Samuel served in the Czar's Mountain Artillery in the Caucasus.
From the photo I believe it shows Johann as a non-commissioned officer (collar insignia).
Can anyone tell me where I can obtain a unit history of the Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 9?

Re: Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 9
Thank you! Brilliant Dieter!
Johann Kuhn
8. Kompanie, 2. Maschinengewehr-Kompanie, 9. Kompanie (Füsiliere).
Colbergsches Grenadier-Regiment Graf Gneisenau (2. Pommersches) Nr. 9
This is very exciting. So this link tells me that he (Johann Kuhn - definitely my Grand Uncle) was listed as "severely wounded" on or before 16/11/1916.
Here is the link:

I'm wondering if it is possible to determine in which battle he received his wounds?
This is the regimental memorial site listing casualties but he is not listed here:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
