Hi,

The early chapters of "Out of Nowhere: A History of Military Sniping" by Martin Pegler there is mention that the Duke of Ratibor helped equip and fund an early sniping program in the German Army used to excellent effect on the Western Front. Evidently, the Duke also had a hand in recruiting huntsmen and trackers from the Black Forest region to the sniping program. I would be very interested to know whether or not there are any extent works - by the WWI-era Duke of Ratibor himself or any other officers or associates about him and specifically his involvement in military sniping during the war. Anything in either German or English would be great to hear about!
