Wilhelm Frickert,German Ace

#1

Post by Edward L. Hsiao » 10 Sep 2019, 07:08

Does anyone know when and where Wilhelm Frickert was born? He was a leutnant who flew in several German air units during WWI and was credited with 12 air to air victories. For a long time nobody seems to know Frickert of his date of birth and his place of birth. Not even theaerodrome.com forum knows about him either. Did he serve in the Luftwaffe during WWII? I need to know about his life.

The correct spelling of the last name is suppose to be 'Frickart' not 'Frickert'. So Wilhelm Frickart it is. He served both on the Eastern Front and Western Front. Plenty of his kills were over Russian observation balloons. His post WWI fate is unknown.

Hi Edward

If you have access to ancestry.de you can follow his military career from 1913 to mid August 1918, as he have an file there. He started his pilot training already before the War.
Born 25.01.1893 Engers, Coblenz. Promoted Lt dL 24.10.1917.

Not sure if he served in the Luftwaffe during WW2. He does not have any BAMA file in Freiburg but he have four files in Berlin (non military)
